Our Senior Management Team

Our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Alan Ward plays a vital part in our day to day business and our Senior Management Team elicit the best from our organisation’s most valuable asset – our human resources to serve you the client with a high standard of service at all times.

Alan Ward

Alan’s skills in leading Emerald Facility Services involve, visionary thinking, strategic planning, emotional intelligence, communication, decision-making, adaptability and team building.

Alan is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant in Ireland.

Alan works closely with clients in providing excellent service delivery. With his strong attention to detail, Alan supervises costing of new and existing contracts ensuring that clients receive cost efficient proposals, an excellent standard of service delivery and that all work is implemented within budget.

CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER (COO)

Ken Lyons

With over 40 years’ experience, Ken has grown and developed the window cleaning and industrial cleaning aspects of the business. Ken’s expertise is in key client management and the management of cleaning projects for specialised industrial and manufacturing facilities across Ireland.

Ken is passionate about delivering a superior level of customer service and is in regular contact with clients to ensure client satisfaction is met. Ken is also the Health and Safety Manager for Emerald FS ensuring best practice is met by Emerald FS across the industry.

DIRECTOR OF CLEANING

Katherine Kelly

Katherine has over 30 years’ experience in the cleaning industry and is responsible for business development in Emerald FS. A meticulous individual, Katherine is responsible for the running of the daily office cleaning department and works tirelessly to ensure the highest standards are met by all supervisors and operatives.

Katherine is passionate about enhancing the customer experience and developing strong customer relations and delivers on this through regular communication with customers.
Katherine keeps informed with industry initiatives to ensure processes are continually reviewed and improved.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

James Sheridan,

James is responsible for maintaining and implementing our gold standard health and safety policies with a particular emphasis on our highly specialised window cleaning service.

James has an extremely hands-on approach to operations and with over 40 years’ experience in the cleaning industry James has worked his way up through every level of the business and therefore has extensive knowledge on all aspects of the cleaning sector.

James has developed strong client relationships and is committed to providing a superior quality service and “going that extra mile”.

AREA MANAGER WINDOW CLEANING DIVISION

Jozef Balaz

Josef is highly experienced in all aspects of window cleaning and brings his vast knowledge of cleaning to client assignments. Josef works closely with clients to understand their individual requirements and utilising his knowledge and experience ensures that client objectives are met.

Josef has worked with Emerald Facility Service for more than fifteen years and during that time has been responsible for overseeing some of our biggest projects.

AREA MANAGER INDUSTRIAL CLEANING DIVISION

Mick Daly

Mick is highly experienced in the area of industrial cleaning and brings his vast knowledge of cleaning to client assignments. Mick works closely with clients to understand their individual requirements and utilising his knowledge and experience ensures that client objectives are met.
Mick’s down-to-earth style provides his clients with a practical approach to their cleaning requirements. Mick has a dedicated specialised Industrial team of operatives that carry out a consistent service delivery.

ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Patricia Higgins

With over thirty five years’ experience in finance, Patricia is responsible for credit control in Emerald FS. Patricia is available to clients to answer invoice queries, issue statements and provide general customer support.

Patricia’s friendly and knowledgeable approach to credit control queries ensures our customers receive an efficient and professional service.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Theresa Byrne

Theresa is responsible for managing the operations, ensuring the smooth running of all cleaning divisions within Emerald Facilities Services.

Theresa has over 30 years’ experience and works very closely with Ken Lyons and James Sheridan to ensure the job planning and co-ordination that clients require are not only met, but also exceeded.

Her personable approach means she engages with clients in a relaxed and friendly manner providing excellent standards of customer support.

OPERATIONS CO-ORDINATOR

Luke Shiels

A graduate of IT Tallaght with a BSc in Accountancy, Luke co-ordinates operations in Emerald FS and works very closely with Theresa Byrne to drive the operations forward.
Luke supports the area managers, supervisors and operatives on a daily basis to ensure all labour, plant and equipment are in place to carry out assignments.
Luke regularly engages with clients ensuring client satisfaction is met and that service level agreements are kept. Luke is passionate about delivering excellent customer support and is involved in continuously improving Emeralds business processes ultimately improving service delivery for our clients.

OPERATIONS CO-ORDINATOR

Sarah Irwin

Sarah supports the area managers, supervisors and operatives on a daily basis to ensure all schedules are in place to carry out assignments.
Sarah also engages with clients ensuring client satisfaction is met and that service level agreements are kept.
Sarah is also responsible for the payroll and administrative duties for Emerald Facility Services.

DAILY OFFICE CLEANING MANAGER

Marcella Martin

Marcela Martin Daily Office Cleaning Manager Daily Office Cleaning Division Marcela has worked in the cleaning industry for over 15 years and joined Emerald Facility Services in November 2021.
Marcela has vast experience in setting up and running cleaning services for corporate accounts, Public and Private Clinics and healthcare and government clients.
Marcela is trained to Train the Trainer level in Manual Handling and Health and Safety and has completed a number of other industry-related courses.

Carol-ann O’Driscoll

Carol-ann O’Driscoll Daily Office Cleaning Manager Daily Office Cleaning Division
Carol-ann has worked for Emerald Facility Service for over two years, during this time Carol-ann has been responsible for the setting up and running of a number of high profile cleaning contracts for Corporate Ireland.
Carol-ann’s previous roles included customer service and client interaction and Carol-ann has brought these skills to Emerald Facility Services.

Mirela Miron,

Mirela Miron Daily Office Cleaning Manager Daily Office Cleaning Division Mirela has just recently joined the Emerald team, she comes very highly recommended and has vast experience within the industry. Mirela is highly experienced in all aspects of daily office cleaning, and brings her vast knowledge of cleaning to client assignments.

Mirela works closely with clients to understand their individual requirements and utilising her knowledge and experience ensures that client objectives are met.
